Option 1:
UDL in Online Courses

Using UDL in Online courses is very innovative and helps students stay engaged within their course. It improves the outcomes for students, provides an inclusive environment, and helps students be more goal-oriented and strategic. They can excel in their class and stay motivated to go the extra mile with their academia.

Option 2:
Culturally Relevant Coaching: Empowering Educators to Exemplify Cultural Competence

Presenter: Dr. Carolyn Gadsden Holliday and Dr. Danielle Olivier

Intended Audience: Higher Ed, K-12

In the session, attendees will learn strategies to build community with students in the online classroom environment. This session will increase participants’ knowledge of constructs aligned to culturally relevant pedagogy. This session will build capacity in participants to engage in coaching moves using the Culturally Relevant Coaching framework along with video as a platform for reflection.

Enhancing Student Engagement Through Universal Design for Learning and Clear Instructional Strategies

This presentation addresses the critical intersection of Universal Design for Learning, student engagement, and clear instructional strategies. (1) Join us on a creative journey where content experts' dreams meet the innovative minds of instructional designers. Discover how wish lists and ideas transform into captivating course materials using cutting-edge software, resulting in a learning experience that's both fresh and engaging!

(2) In this short session, we'll create an example prompt bot using a simple knowledge base document with the AI-tool Poe. Participants will also get to play with other bots created in Poe, including a UDL chatbot. These bots can be used to help anyone who needs specialized information, such as an FAQ, syllabus, a study guide, or creating rubrics. More importantly, they can be ready to use in just a few minutes!

(3) This presentation highlights successful interdisciplinary projects completed in remote settings by Primary Content Authors (PCAs), designers, and authors. It explores strategies for fostering a shared problem-solving language that transcends traditional academic rubrics, enabling genuine collaboration. Attendees will gain insights into practical approaches for remote teamwork and discover how digital tools like Mural and Miro can enhance collaborative workflows.
